Cantina Tollo supports the fourth edition of the Food&Wine Italia Awards by rewarding the ALT Stazione del Gusto project and Numero Zero restaurant in Perugia for the categories Innovation in Food and Social Responsibility in Food, respectively. ALT Stazione del Gusto is chef Niko Romito’s project in collaboration with Enilive that aims to combine good and tasty food with the concept of roadside catering: an idea born in 2018 thanks to the shared values of the two businesses, which see innovation as a resource, and have a people-first approach. Numero Zero, on the other hand, is the restaurant in Perugia where half of the staff is made up of psychiatric patients supported by catering professionals and supervised by a clinical staff. A psychiatric centre during the day and a restaurant at night, the space is designed to create a social opportunity for patients, but also real inclusion that takes the form of paid work.
