Cantina Tollo has always been very careful about the quality of its products and its customers’ satisfaction, and for this purpose we have always been aware that, to achieve such a goal, it was absolutely necessary to have a managerial organization able to meet the requirements and the expectations of the market.
This is why 12 years ago we were one of the first wineries in Italy to achieve the ISO 9001 Certification, which testifies the high standard of quality of our management system. Today our business, once again in an avant-garde position in the strategic vision of the future, has completed the application to obtain the certification according to the ISO 22000 rules: 2005 food safety. We are firmly convinced that this type of guarantee represents a fundamental aspect also in our relationship with our customers.
It is a new factor on the international scene and absolutely innovative in Italy. If our results are getting better and better, it is also because we can rely on a group of suppliers and partners who know how to fulfil expectations. And this is the way we would like to continue in the future. The evolution of our organizational and production system requires us not only to be close to our customers, but also to establish a profitable collaboration with every partner and supplier involved in the productive chain.
Such a synergy is necessary to guarantee an adequate level of communication with those who operate in the sector to prevent any type of anomaly related to food safety and keep the relative risks under control. To ensure that these objectives are achieved with effectiveness and continuity, the winery has adopted a Policy for Quality and Food Safety that is dealt with further on in this document.
Our business founded a Food Safety Group responsible for managing and improving in time the system of management that guarantees food safety. Our winery has implemented strict control procedures to check the traceability of our products in accordance with the applicable legislative requirements and to the voluntary requirements established by ISO 22000: 2005. For this reason, it is possible that in the near future, as a consequence of sampling tests implemented by the winery, you will be asked to test our capacity to withdraw some products of ours from the market to verify, in a preventive way, the effectiveness of our procedures. In addition, our firm wishes to ask all the operators of the production chain and the suppliers, for their complete availability to cooperate in order to manage and prevent any issues related to food safety. This is why we rely on your collaboration, should it be necessary to trace the supply process, manage emergencies, or correct and improve any aspects or parameters of the product/ service / process, which may occur in our production chain of reference, with full awareness that the final customers are the same for all of us. Our winery is available, however, on request, to supply copies of our procedures of communication from and towards the outside, as regards food safety food, in view of a profitable development of communication in every sector of the production chain. Cantina Tollo endeavours to continuously improve the quality of its products /services and to promptly meet any request from the market. With this aim in mind, the management wish to ensure the pursuit of a strategy based on:
continuous customer care and satisfaction, and a continuous focus on the requirements of the market, the identification of the customers’ expectations, the necessity to develop new products/ services to meet in the best way the ever growing need for quality and safety in the products;
compliance with every applicable contractual and legal requirement, which become even more important when they refer to the hygiene of food products;
the management of communication related to food safety in every sector of the production chain, from the partners to the suppliers, the customers, the outside partners and the staff that should always be available and ready. For this purpose Cantina Tollo has defined an appropriate communication strategy to continuously keep all these aspects under control;
the effectiveness and the efficiency of the management system, which systemically controls all the activities, paying attention to those related to food, monitoring and evaluating the risks and the most critical aspects of the chain to guarantee total safety;
the continuous improvement of the products, services and the management system through a closer collaboration with partners and suppliers and with all the parties involved in the food production chain.
