May 25 2016

On Three outstanding wines made by Cantina Tollo were awarded Commended wine status (given to wines that achieve a score of 83-85/100) at the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), one of the most important wine competitions in the world, organised by the English magazine Decanter. Cagiòlo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Dop Riserva 2011, MO Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Dop Riserva 2011 and Pecorino Terre di Chieti Igp 2015 are the three autochthonous Italian wines that won over the jury of the 13th edition of the DWWA.

The first, Cagiòlo, has already won several prizes and is a wine that is the highest blend of tradition and innovation. The second wine, which was launched last year and that very soon was the focus of a lot of attention, has been awarded (among other prizes), the prestigious Tre Bicchieri Gambero Rosso 2016 award. The third, a white wine that has received multiple awards, is the union of an ancient vine variety and mature enological awareness.
